By default the data points are connected by a line. The line can appear as a curve and you may not be able to identify where on this curve the actual data points lie. There are several ways to highlight them. One is by setting this "dataPointVisualization" field. Other ways are changing lineConnectionsType or activating Alpha_ofVerticalAreaFillLines.
You can use "chartLine.SizeOfPoints_relToChartHeight" to change the size of the symbols, and "chartLine.pointVisualisationLineWidth_relToChartHeight" to change the stroke width of the drawn symbols.
